Queensland Tourism has announced the winner of the Best Job in The World competition. Ben Southall, 34, from UK has won the Island Caretaker job of the Great Barrier Reef out of over 34000 applicants.
The Island Caretaker will live at Blue Pearl, a beautiful three-bedroom home on Hamilton Island and enjoy the private plunge pool/spa, sun lounges, and the traditional Aussie barbeque. Living above the Great Barrier Reef for six months, he will get a huge salary package of AUD$150,000 for the six-month contract. The job profile involves leisure blogging, snapping photos, feeding the fish….
So finally someone got the Best Job in the World!
Update: Now more jobs of Island caretaker assistants will open soon to help out Ben, as the job of fun blogging seems more work than expected.
Tourism Queensland and Ben are looking for four people who will win the job of Island Caretaker Assistant and will guest post on his blog. The competition opens August 26 and is called the “Best Experience in the World“. Are you lining up for the time of your life?
