Gmail Adds Rich Text HTML Signatures

Gmail finally enabled the much wanted feature to add rich text HTML signatures in Gmail. It was surprising Gmail took so many years to add this feature, as Gmail users struggled with hacks, canned responses, scripts and tricks to add html signatures.

I was elated to find Gmail enabled the html enabled signature box in Gmail settings … finally. Now you can make the text, font, size, colors, alignment, highlighting, etc in whichever way you like. I went crazy with colors and links to show what goodness you can add to your custom gmail signature now.

The amazing part is it allows you to use images hosted elsewhere on the web, like your site logo, and then resize them in 3 sizes to fit as your signature as seen in the image above. You can suggest gmail features and Google is listening.

Thank you Gmail …. better late than never!
